A Little Bit About My Readers and Myself

Brittnee LavertyHello, I’m Brittnee Laverty and I am a 24 yr old wife. I graduated in Fall 2009 from the University of North Texas with a B.A. degree in Marketing and 2 specializations it Retailing and E-Commerce. I even wrote a 15 page dissertation on social media.

I was recently featured on FOX4 News in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. My blog has been online since June 2011 and has been an important part of my life. I take great pride in my blog as this is my job.  My readers are women; usually mothers, and usually other bloggers. They care about their families, social media, new products, saving money and having fun.

What is BlogHer?

2012’s BlogHer will be the 8th annual convention. It brings over three thousand attendees together from all over the world to share hands-on learning, rich discussions, opportunities to meet with the brands that support them and plentiful networking opportunities. While the attendees are mostly women, there are a few men in the crowd.BlogHer is a two day conference (Friday & Saturday) with a “Pathfinder Day” on Thursday open to 400-500 people. I hope to go to all three days. This year, the conference is being held in New York City, August 2-4th.

Costs:

  • Blogger Conference Pass:  $198.00 x 2 people =  $396.00
  • Hotel:  $1,065.00
  • Flight:  From Dallas to New York x 2 people =  Approx. $600.00
  • Other (food, transportation, wardrobe, etc.):  Approx. $500.00

Option 1: $200

SWAG distribution

While it is against BlogHer rules to distribute swag at the Expo or at the common areas of the the hotel, I could hold a “Your Company” SWAG distribution party at my hotel room. I would be willing to distribute the SWAG you provide for a flat rate of $150 per day.
